"Emotions"
One of the many problems that I see these days with a lot of people is that they spend more time than what is necessary wrapping themselves up in their emotions. When you think about it, a lot of people walk around preparing themselves to be insulted by someone, when insulting people has never even crossed the person's mind. Those who mainly operate on emotions are very often mistaken when it comes to what other people might be thinking. Emotions can be very deceptive in causing people to believe something that is not true, or something that has not been said at all. Those who depend upon their emotions to lead them will often find their emotions leading them down the wrong path. I would love to be able to say that a person can totally trust their emotions, but in reality, I cannot do it.
So, as you begin this day, My children, as the old folks used to say, put your emotions in your pocket, and they will not get stepped on. When you have your emotions out and wearing them on your shoulder, for instance, they are much too easy to be knocked off and stepped on. It seems that any little thing can hurt someone's feelings when emotions are exposed, even if the other person never meant to hurt anyone's feelings. Just operating on emotions alone, without any sense of reasoning things out, is not very smart at all. Operating on pure emotion will cause a sense of blindness and/or deafness that can have friends ready to rip out each other's throats. It is very sad to see such a thing happening, just because emotions have seemingly gone amok. Be wise, therefore, as far as emotions are concerned, and try not to take everything so personally, and blessed you will surely be, in JESUS' Most Precious and Holy Name.
