"The Power of the Tongue"
The tongue is indeed the smallest member of the body, and yet it is one of the most powerful members of the body. As a matter of fact, it is both powerful and dangerous and can cause a lot of damage. The tongue can also do quite a lot of harm as well. Some people will often get themselves into a lot of trouble because of not knowing when to be quiet. So many people tend to just flap their gums, so to speak, ending up in more and more trouble than is warranted. Now, of course, there are some people who have learned to tame their tongue, which can end up being a very wise thing to do. I see a lot of people getting themselves into trouble because of saying the wrong thing, and some things just cannot be taken back once they are said, and that tends to happen quite a lot in this world.
Therefore, children of Mine, please learn how to tame your tongue before something very serious happens. Also, remember, when you are slow to speak, it can be an advantage to you as well as to someone else. He or she who honors the tongue will often tend to stay out of trouble. Much too often in this world, people will not know when to be quiet and end up getting themselves in trouble because of it. There have even been wars started because of someone not being able to control their tongue, and that is sad indeed. Be wise, therefore, as far as the tongue is concerned, realizing that silence can sometimes be your best friend. Also, try to remember to think before you speak. Blessed are you who are able to control your tongue, in JESUS' Most Precious and Holy Name.
