"Love Thy Neighbor As Thyself"

When My Word says to love your neighbor or your enemy as yourself, does that mean you have to be all mushy with them? Many of you sometimes have the idea that loving your neighbor or your enemy means allowing them to just walk all over and abuse you as you just lie there and take it. Loving someone as yourself does not mean allowing others to disrespect or harm you, either, as some of you might suppose. It also does not mean that you need to think the worst of someone, either, because that would certainly not be love. Loving someone would also mean wanting them to obey the law, as long as the law does not go against My law. When I ask you to love others as you love yourself, all I really mean is that you should love others in the way that you would love yourself if you were living a holy and righteous life. If there was something that you would not do because of loving yourself, then seek to treat others the same. If you would not want evil done to you, then do not do evil to others. If you would not want anyone to mistreat or disrespect you, then do not do it to others, either.
It is not as complicated as some of you suppose, My children; it only takes a little concern for what is right in someone else's life. For instance, you will often see people mistreating others, murdering others, raping someone, or at the least, calling someone out of their name. Tell Me, would you want someone doing those things to you? If people were to lie on someone and cause them to be imprisoned over that lie, would you want that same thing to happen to you? You see, it is not so difficult to love others as yourself, just as long as you were to imagine yourself being in their position. It is easy for many of you to be so mean and evil towards others, as long as you do not see yourself as being in their place. And this last thing applies to you, who are sympathetic towards those who have broken the law, would you be a lawbreaker or one who would obey the law, which should answer the illegal lawbreaker question. Now, may you learn to love your neighbor as yourself without getting all mushy, in JESUS' Most Precious and Holy Name.

AMEN
