"That Old Lying Spirit
in People"
How many of you have known people who tended to be able to lie with ease, and in fact, lie so well that you did not know if they were telling the truth or not? And have you known people who lie so well that they even begin to believe their own lies sometimes? What many people do not realize or understand is, that lying is just another spirit that can infect or affect many different people, no matter their race, creed, color, or religion. When a person allows the spirit of lying into their life, and the longer they allow it to stay, the further away from the truth they become. This is why you can often find people who can even make a living in certain professions who spend their time having to lie. Also, as many of you know, some of the best liars there are will usually end up in politics or in some other type of profession where lying is a plus, which is a sad comment on society.
Now know this My children in CHRIST, even though I have used certain liars in My service in the past, liars are the type of people I do not respect very much at all. That old spirit of lying will easily come upon a person who might be fearful for or of one reason or another, or upon someone who has some kind of selfish motive for telling a lie. Fights, wars, disagreements, and all sorts of evil have been started because of lies and liars. Lying tends to be so popular that it has become an accepted form of communication in the world. In many instances, in fact, people are expected and even encouraged to lie to keep someone from knowing or discovering the truth. The way the world is, it is very easy for a lying spirit to take up residence in a person's life. Could anyone say that The Lord JESUS was a liar? Well of course not, and those of you who claim to be learners and followers of His should not be practicing liars either. Be filled with The Holy Spirit of truth, therefore, and blessed you will surely be for so being, in JESUS' Most Precious and Holy Name.
