"The New You in CHRIST JESUS"
There are those in this world who are afraid of becoming Christians because they think that they will no longer be able to have any fun, but that is not necessarily the case. Many who feel that way have usually just been around the wrong kind of Christian, because, there are some who do seem to take the joy out of any and everything in which they become involved. They have a bunch of rules about not doing this or not doing that when there is no real reason for why they cannot do certain things. Instead of helping to draw people to The Lord JESUS, these types of people tend to drive or keep them away. If you listen to many of these so-called well-meaning Christians, I too would have a hard time wanting to become a part of this community. It is sad because they believe that they are doing something good when in reality, they are actually driving people away. Many times in life, it is the people who end up complicating things and ruining the fun for others, and not necessarily the activity itself.
Now listen to Me, My loved ones, I do not want any of you to be bogged down with a bunch of religious rules, because I want you to find joy in being a Christian. The do and do not rules come from you and who you become in CHRIST JESUS and not necessarily from the rules on how you should act and/or behave. When JESUS CHRIST is in you through The Holy Spirit, you become born again, not of the flesh but of The Spirit, and the old you is gone, and the new you become born again. You are of course in the same body, but you now possess a new spirit. Because you have become a new creation in CHRIST JESUS, the old ways of having fun no longer tend to satisfy you because of who you have now become in CHRIST JESUS. Oh sure, there are still certain things the old you might be drawn to do, but the new you have the power to resist that which you did not have the power to do before you were born again. You will also be convicted when something is not right, or something that you should not be doing without the need of any special rules. So go ahead and be the new you in CHRIST JESUS, and blessed you will surely be for so doing, in His Holy and Most Beautiful Name.
