"Being Slow to Speak"
There are times in this world when you might want to have something clever to say, but then nothing seems to come to mind. Instead of just remaining quiet for the time being, a lot of people try to force something out and end up sounding silly or ignorant at times. The lesson that would do a lot of people good to learn is that it is not always necessary to say something or to respond to whatever someone has to say all of the time. There are and will be times in this world when patience is the one thing to be cherished. There is a time to speak and a time to be quiet, and blessed is the person who learns that point. So many people have gotten themselves into trouble by not knowing when to stay quiet or when to speak, which can be very detrimental to a person's life.
Therefore children of Mine in CHRIST, it might be a blessing sometimes to not have much of anything to say. It is sometimes better to say nothing at all and just have people wonder than to speak and remove any doubts. There are those who find it difficult to be quiet at all, and those who barely ever say anything. Depending upon the situation, of course, one or the other might be what is needed or desired. Life is constantly changing in one way or the other, so wisdom says to be patient and take note of one's situation before reacting. The important thing to remember is if at all possible, to learn to try to think before you speak, and it is not an easy skill to master. As a matter of fact, some people never learn to think before they speak but blessed are those who do learn that lesson. Now may you be one who learns to think before you speak, in JESUS' Most Precious and Holy Name.
