"Being Thankful in All Things"
There is an old saying about not being able to see the forest for looking at the trees, and this is a very common problem today when applied to other things in life. For instance, there are people who are so busy complaining about one thing or another in their life, that they find it difficult to see the blessings that are before them. They complain about this or that situation, about this or that person, place, or job, not realizing the blessings of the situation, the person, the place, or the job they might have. Much too often in this world, too many people are too busy being contentious with other people, until they do not even see the futility of their being so contentious with one another. Those who are able to see the forest, will of course see a most beautiful sight indeed before them.
From this day forth My children, learn to be one who is able to see and be thankful for your blessings, rather than being one who is always finding something about which to complain. It is not as difficult to see and be thankful for your blessings if that is where the focus of your attention lies. When and/or if certain things do happen to go awry in your life, just say to yourself that this too shall pass. You can be sure that it will pass because of Who your Heavenly Father is, and also because of Who is in you to give you the strength to overcome. There are times when satan will surely try to discourage you and throw you off your game, but do not allow him to do it. You have more power on your side than you might think if only you will trust and have faith in Us. Now may you be thankful in and through all things, in JESUS' Most Precious and Holy Name.
